The “Taipei City Government SMEs Loan Program” was established by the Taipei City Government on March 1, 2009. The credit guarantee fund amounts to NT$3 billion and as of the end of January 2020, a total of 4,035 SMEs have applied for the loan. The city government has approved 3,407 applications and the total loan released amounted to NT$2.8 billion. The approval rate was 82%. A total of 250 applicants were approved for loan of greater NT$2 million while 1,243 applicants were approved for loan between NT$1 million and NT$2 million. Statistics show that the Taipei City Government SMEs Loan Program has a remainder of about NT$130 million for disbursement and welcome those who are in need to apply for it.
