Organized a press conference for the launch of 2013 “Taipei City creativity-cum-design industry development scheme”, enhancing the development momentum of the design industry and accumulating Taipei City’s energy to move towards being a World Design Capital. “Taipei Entrepreneurial Service Office” of the Taipei City Office of Commerce was officially opened. It offers people who intend to establish a business in Taipei City a comprehensive entrepreneurial consulting service, and the selection of entrepreneurial consultants also provide free individual counseling to solve the public's entrepreneurial problems.

The Market Administration Office of Taipei City promoted “converting the second floor of Shuanglian market into an International Youth Hostel”. The charter ceremony was held on June 17. CU Hotel officially became a member of YH and Taiwan's first success story for transforming a market into a City Hostel.

Publicly announced the preliminary inspection results of “Taipei City cloud industrial park & parking lot BOT project”. Announced the winning company in the preliminary inspection stage by “Taipei Cloud Application Services Alliance”.

In response to the wildlife rabies outbreak in 2013, the Animal Protection Office of Taipei City strengthened its contingency on the prevention of an animal rabies epidemic. It strengthened wildlife animal monitoring and vaccination of domestic dogs and cats, advocated the principle of “two no one yes” and promoted the “yellow collar epidemic prevention project” until the end of October.

Million Flowers Festival opening ceremony. First ever Million Flowers Festival held in Taipei Expo Park, during which 2013 International Flower Design Award – Fragrant Love, was exhibited from 2nd November to 10th November. Number of visitors reached 71,458; contestants included 29 domestic contestants and 15 foreign contestants who came from 11 countries and regions. There were a total of 44 contestants.
