III. Administrative Focuses
1. Promoting the development of high-tech industry clusters as well as innovation in and upgrading of industry clusters in order to create a technology industry corridor; supporting the transformation and development of small and medium enterprises to enhance industrial competitiveness; and building an investment-friendly environment in Taipei by strengthening international connections and investment promotion to help enterprises expand in the global market.
2. Consolidating government startup service resources, providing capital through diversified channels, and promoting development of startups to build Taipei into a startup cradle; and reinforcing cross-border ecommerce incubation and inducing industrial upgrades and transformation to promote international trade.
3. Continuing to promote market reconstruction projects and create new landmarks in Taipei; bringing in innovative and modernized business management models, implementing self-management mechanisms and improving the quality of market environments, and promoting comprehensive use of electronic payment; and improving the performance of the four major company management functions and protecting the food safety of agricultural products for the mutual creation of non-toxic, clean, and healthy markets.
4. Marketing specialty agricultural products and improving the quality of agricultural products to upgrade farmers’ incomes and build safe food and agricultural environments; integrating private groups and farmers’ associations to give farmers markets guidance and improve service quality; and strengthening guidance for community garden users and promoting urban greening to increase the economic benefits of urban agriculture.
5. Increasing pet registration and the number of rabies vaccines injected and improving source management and disease prevention; promoting pet-friendly spaces and facilities and inspecting pet foods to build a pet-friendly city; building new animal shelters and upgrading public animal welfare services; and continuing to develop wildlife habitats and reduce the percentage of threatened ecological areas to realize a sustainable ecological environment.
6. Improving the program of Taipei City Energy Conservation Policy and the Taipei City Circular City Promotion Plan on a rolling basis and promoting the installation and use of renewable energy sources to increase the use of renewable power; establishing safe environments for the use of natural gas by reinforcing the supervision of public natural gas enterprise operations and management as well as upgrading delivery and storage equipment and safety protection; and providing guidance for new hot spring businesses and optimizing the overall appearance of hot spring spas to assure effective use and management of hot spring resources
7. Building a healthy, convenient and safe business environment through diversified guidance and digitization to enhance the attraction and characteristics of business districts in order to market the specialty industries in the city, increase industrial energy, and develop the uniqueness of Taipei City industries.
