open MAP-Songshan Market

The market was built in 1908 and came to full operation on June 10th, 1910. The market was called Songshan Livestock Market before 1938. After that, it was known to the public as Taipei City Livestock Market Songshan Branch. In 1975, due to the road widening project of Bade Road and also due to consuming habit change of the Taipei citizens, the market started selling all kinds of fresh products and commodities. Songshan Market was built in the Japanese ruling era, which makes it over 100 years of history. The roof structure was constructed by cypress logs and two large stones piled up the fa?ade of the walls. Songshan Market was appointed as historical site and building by the government on March 22nd, 2006. Fresh products, beverages and snacks are sold in the market.
