The Beitou Shilin Technology Park is the third industrial technology park after Neihu Technology Park and Nankang Software Park. It’s a complex knowledge park of production, live, ecology. The total area of the park is around 94.38 hectares; the targets of the development are as the followings:

1. Introducing biotechnology, internet industry, cutting-edge technology research and de-velopment, medical care, and other internationally competitive technology industries and innovative services, planning to serve as a showcase for advanced technology.
2. Planning public housing and park, complemented by commercial functions, to provide a high-quality environment that integrates living, employment, culture, leisure, and eco-logical energy conservation.
3. Installing solar panels, energy storage facilities, smart meters, and energy manage-ment systems to create an innovative, energy-efficient, low-carbon, sustainable, and user-friendly ecological environment.
